California-based video and mobile gaming producer Electronic Arts pursued a new path for the presentation of its new product highlight FIFA 18: As a first-timer, Electronic Arts organized in 2017 an international Capture Event at a central location instead of organizing several country-specific events. From 09 - 12 September 2017, 150 selected talents from all over the world met in London in order to check out FIFA 18 prior to its official product launch. After the welcome event held in the historic "Kachette" vaults, the second day's location was the "Oval Space" where 100 stations were made available for a thorough test of the game. Each gamer was given the chance to collect materials about the game contents and to make their own video in order to make them go online as one of the first directly after the blocking period. The talents, who, for the most part, had met before in the virtual world, could also compete in a soccer tournament in the play area in "Powerleague Shoredich".

The special challenge for team Sollik, taken on board by EA Germany, was to plan the London event with little preparation time.  Three locations within London city limits had to be found in no time. Plus, they had to be in close proximity to each other and within easy reach for all participants. As the management of the participants and the implementation of the soccer tournament was in the hands of the US-American EA team, excellent cross-disciplinary management was utmost priority. Thanks to its long-term experience with event abroad and its own branch office in Spain, Sollik is familiar with collaborating with partners from the most various countries.

The Launch Event for the press was to follow the Capture Event only 9 days after.
On behalf of Electronic Arts Deutschland Sollik signed responsible for room planning, set-up and catering for the media event. 490 media representatives and influencers from UK witnessed an impressive product presentation in a grand London location. In the course of just 23 hours, team Sollik had the three rooms of historic Shoreditch Townhall transformed into a real FIFA 18 environment.  Numerous „open men“ posts and bar modules were next to the impressive stage in the big hall on the first floor equipped with state-of-the-art technology, furniture, and prints. Here, the novelty FIFA 18 found an ideal setting for its presentation. A London-based communication agency signed responsible for taking care of the guests, planning and managing the show part including streaming as well as co-operating with British Internet Media Company UNILAD.

Its challenge was to hop on board of a project planned by a local agency closely collaborating with EA UK at shortest notice.  But, as it is, Andreas Sollik is a real team player striving for German-English co-operation. For the two EA events, he had assembled a event and engineering team of twelve from Germany and booked a project manager as well as helping hands from London extra, and, as it is, in no time.

Both events were so successful thanks to the team effort.
Once more, the close collaboration between the internal event team of Electronic Arts, Sollik, and its German technology partner Aventem has proven effective.
