Ferrero celebrated the 50th birthday of its iconic spread on 18th May 2014 with a dramatic breakfast experience in the Westfalenpark in Dortmund. Sollik GmbH & Co. KG developed in close collaboration with Ferrero Nutella Marketing an event concept for more than 10,000 wildly enthusiastic fans that had been thought out down to the smallest detail. Fun, games and action were provided on a visitor area of around 60,000 m2 and a backstage area of around 12,000 m2. Sollik as the general contractor smoothly handled the immense logistical challenge with more than 40 articulated trucks full of materials. Just the five huge sunshades with a diameter of 30 or 18 metres required 80 tons of cargo to be brought to the grounds. The core of the event was the biggest Nutella glass jar in the world, which was 20 metres high and 14 metres wide and served as a background and a means of fixing a huge LED screen.
