The Californian video and mobile games manufacturer Electronic Arts comes up with something new every year to present its product highlights to the public. In 2018 EA invited international game changers to Motorwerk Berlin to put the latest features of FIFA 19 to the acid test. In the midst of old industrial architecture, the Cologne event agency Sollik and the team of Michael Pelzer Event & Netzwerktechnik installed a total of 205 game stations with state-of-the-art video game technology. In addition to the virtual game world, the participants also got to know each other face-to-face. Gamers from all over the world discussed team line-ups, league positions and game strategies.

Entertainment Program: Panna Cage, Football Wall and Barbershop

The enthusiasm for soccer was felt throughout all the event stations: On the interactive goal wall, the video players fought for the top spot in the scoring list. In the Panna Cage, the round football cage, the adidas Panna Crew dribbled and tricked around the world champion Fatih Hatipoglu. At the same time, teams of six players each from the gamer scene competed against each other in an artificial turf tournament in a nearby sports hall. A popular photo motif was the Barbershop, where anyone could be styled.
Through the successful mix of virtual and real experience worlds, Electronic Art has once again proven its pioneering position as an innovative global player. At the FIFA 19 Capture Event, many online contacts have developed into real friendships.
