Our Spanish event team held an exciting outdoor event at the Parcmotor Castellolí go-kart circuit in mid-February: some 100 participants had the opportunity of demonstrating their driving skills in groups of four to five between the Spanish hills. Quick changes of driver and a strategic glance at the indicator board ensured pure adrenalin. The best three teams and the best three drivers received prizes at the end. This also included medals and the traditional champagne shower.

Team building par excellence at one of Europe's top 5 go-kart circuits

Up to 20 go-karts started out on the 1,340 metre circuit, designed by the Spanish racing driver and three-times world champion Dani Pedrosa. The drivers sped through the corners at up to 70 km/h in their RT8 400cc go-karts. The challenge in the Endurance Race was for the teams to work hand in hand. Accelerator flat on the floor was the motto of the Best Driver Race, in which the best driver preserved his role as favourite. From the qualifying session through to the victory, all participants shared in the thrills – in the cars, in the pits and on the edge of the race track.

The challenges: good weather and a limited time window

Organising an outdoor event in February involves a certain risk – even in Spain. Fortunately, the weather was on our side. Organising a go-kart race, including travel to and from the hotel in the centre of Barcelona in just five and a half hours, also demanded absolute teamwork on the part of the event team. This was only possible with perfect logistics and meticulous timing.
